Kushal Yuva Program
The Bihar Skill Development Mission (BSDM) has launched a unique skill training program. It’s called the “Kushal Yuva Program”. The program aims to enhance the employability skills of aspirants aged 15-28. People with disabilities, SC/ST, and OBC have different age limits. SC/ST is 33 years, OBC is 31 years, and PwD is 33 years. Eligible participants must have passed at least 10th Class. This requirement applies, regardless of their current education status. Soft Skills training would include Life skills. It would also cover communication skills in English and Hindi. In addition, the training would cover basic computer literacy. This training would enhance their employability. It would also add value to the domain-specific training implemented in Bihar.
Transformative Growth: Scaling Up Bihar’s Skill Development Mission
As of 8th July 2017, the total admissions have crossed 1,12,000 and the number of approved centers has crossed 1100. We started this journey with 48 centers and 1978 learners on 16th December 2016. Currently, approved centers cover 494 out of 534 blocks. They are across all 38 districts of Bihar. Our target is to cover every block of Bihar. The new sign-up process is available in only 284 areas. These areas currently have too few centers.
Expansion and Application Guidelines for Kushal Yuva Skill Development Center (SDC) in Bihar
Last year, many organizations showed great interest in registering for the Kushal Yuva SDC. As a result, we were able to establish 1100+ centers in Bihar. After completing the procedure, the number of sign-ups from each block and district was examined. They assessed the data. They wanted to understand the distribution of registrations. After looking at the data, BSDM found they only need more skill development centers in 284 areas. They made this decision after seeing how many people were signing up.
After further analysis, we may add more blocks before the last application date. We’ll consider new applications and post updates on this website. Before you apply to register, please make sure to check the list of blocks. Apply for KYP SDC only in the blocks given in the list.
